AX Holdings presents donation following damages sustained by Ta’ Giezu Church, Rabat

Local companies are pledging their financial support following the damages sustained by Ta’ Gieżu Church in Rabat, when part of the ceiling collapsed earlier last month. AX Holdings, one of Malta’s leading private companies specialising in construction, development, hospitality and healthcare, has offered its assistance by donating financial support to the Franciscan Fathers.
Mr Angelo Xuereb, who is the Chairman of the AX Holdings group of companies immediately visited the church in Rabat and discussed measures on how to protect the opening in the ceiling to prevent further damage. Luckily no damage has been done to the prestigious paintings in the interior decoration. Thanks to the support of the dedicated skilled volunteers, appointed by Ta’ Giezu, that the opening has now been given a temporary covering. The Provincial Fr Richard Stanley Grech is now looking forward to having his dream materialize by the construction of the missing dome which will cost over €300,000. Mr Xuereb presented his donation on behalf of AX Holdings and has urged more persons and businesses to give a helping hand towards this project of high artistic value. Donations may be made on Bank of Valletta account IBAN – BOV A/C MT43VALL22013000000040020868884 or by cheque to the Franciscans, St. Mary of Jesus, St Paul Street, Rabat.
