Arriva provides 20 buses for Puttinu Cares Good Friday Walk
Arriva would like to thank its drivers for their initiative in helping the community following their valid participation in the annual penitential Good Friday Night Walk organised by Puttinu Cares.
Arriva drivers expressed their solidarity by volunteering to do the extra trips to Mellieha after their day’s work while a number of drivers also donated a day of their annual leave to Puttinu Cares. Arriva also provided the artwork for posters and tickets for the event.
This is the second consecutive year Arriva has been essential in helping out with the Puttinu Cares Good Friday Walk. This year Arriva once again joined in the spirit of solidarity on Good Friday when it provided 20 buses and drivers to enable over 4000 participants taking part in the well-attended fundraising event organised by Puttinu Cares, during which participants walk 32km from Mellieha to Senglea.
“We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for the support and assistance Arriva and Arriva drivers provided. It would not be possible without your help,” said a spokesperson for the organisers of the event.
