Animal Day in Mosta on Sunday

Another fantastic event for all animal lovers, Animal Day, is being held on Sunday, 15 December, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Rotunda Square, Mosta.

Animal Day/Jum l-Annimali is a fund-raising event organised by Mosta Local Council, in collaboration with Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd, aimed at creating greater awareness among the animal loving community, especially after the horrifying cat crucifixions occurring in the Mosta locality over the past couple of years.

During the course of the day a number of activities will be held, namely an Animal Blessing, a demonstration and talk by the Civil Protection Unit, a Photo Competition with your pet or, for the more adventurous, a python and some exotic birds from the Bird Park.

There will be pet grooming, free Vet advice by Dr Carl Bonello Cole, free nutrition advice by nutritionist Fiona Picton and horse rides, thanks to the Funny Farm Malta.  There will be one of the best groomers in Malta, Grace Bonello. Kids will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus during the event, while their parents can also enjoy a cup of mulled wine.

All these activities and efforts are being done to help raise funds and help some of the NGOs contributing to this event which are in need, especially during this time of the year.

Special thanks go to the Mosta Local Council, Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd, SPCA Malta, Christina Pace from Dogs Trust, the Malta Cat Club, Falkunier, the Bird Park,  Fiona Picton (Pet Nutritionist) and others who are contributing to make this event a success.

The event is being co-organised by Mosta Local Council and Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd in continuous support to the animal welfare community.  For more information about this event visit http://www.royalcanin.com.mt/events or the Facebook event https://www.facebook.com/events/593051780757269/.
