The top end Italian fashion brand Liu·Jo has opened its doors for the first time on Level 1 at Bay Street, St Julian’s.
Set up in Carpi, northern Italy, by two brothers, Marco and Vannis Marchi, Liu·Jo celebrates its 20th anniversary next year. Their initial garment and jeans lines have since grown to take in all segments of the fashion market, including accessories, jewellery and footwear.
Their mission is to bring out every woman’s natural beauty by interpreting and exalting their feminine side with a glamorous, elegant, dynamic style. Thanks to their core values of elegance and quality, they aim to enhance the natural beauty of all women, that femininity that only a glamorous, refined style can express and heighten.
According to Diane Izzo, founder and director of the Dizz Group, which has represented Liu·Jo since 2011: “This is an upmarket fashion brand that enables you to make a statement. Clients visiting our boutique, spread over 90 m2, are given individual attention and the whole décor is intended to give that luxury touch that so many clients look for.
“At the same time, we wish to stress that the price points are affordable, especially the jeans range and accessories like bags, which are in great demand.”
Ms Izzo pointed out that the current fashion hit in the Liu·Jo range is the Bottom-Up jeans and, with Kate Moss as the testimonial, this is a brand that is growing fast and going places.
Liu·Jo has gone from being a retailer in the Italian market to an international brand with outlets in highly prominent locations all over the world, including a flagship outlet in Milan’s Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
Dizz Group was one of the key tenants that have been operating from Bay Street since the complex opened in 2000. Its interests now span from the Terranova and Calliope fashion brands to the Caffè Pascucci Shop.
“I have always been a firm believer in the Bay Street concept of opening seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Our previous investments in Bay Street were always crowned with success, and I am confident that we will be repeating this also with the Liu·Jo brand,” Ms Izzo said.
