MCWO disagrees with MAP dispensed by prescription
The Malta Confederation of Women’s Organisations (MCWO) strongly disagrees with the suggestion that the Morning After Pill (MAP) should be dispensed only through a prescription. The MCWO feels that women in Malta have the right to a wide choice of emergency contraception and that this should be widely available over the counter in order to allow women have more control over their lives, their health and their body.
The Confederation is an umbrella organisation that represents 12 local member organisations which collectively have around 24,000 female members. The MCWO is a full member of the Brussels based European Women’s Lobby.
