Malta Design Week came to a stunning end last weekend with the Diet Coke Fashion Event by Models M. Four young and talented designers flaunted their collections in an array of colours, textures and style that left the sizeable audience wanting to be seen in each piece showcased on the runway.

The budding designers who exhibited their collections against the breathtaking backdrop of the recently refurbished Fort St Elmo in Valletta were Julia Boikova, Carla Grima, Martina Zammit Maempel and Kevin Muscat of Muscat London.

The collection of the super talented Julia Biokova was distinctive with its amazing print design, great mix of colours and shapes. Carla Grima stood out with beautiful fabric design and subtly sexy pieces with exquisite feet accessories.

Simple classic designs characterised Martina Zammit Maempel who has put into practice a stylish wardrobe suitable for a career woman, wearable, practical yet easy and not over the top.

Kevin Muscat, who sells under the label Muscat London, distinguished himself with beautiful minimalism, edgy headpieces and perfect fabrics.

The Diet Coke Fashion Event was under the artistic direction of Carina Camilleri of Models M. Hair was by Pierre Camille hairdressing team, make-up was by Kida at NYX cosmetics, while Ben Camille at capture.com.mt was the show’s official photographer.
