The Malta Amateur Dramatics Club elects its new Committee

The MADC, Malta’s oldest theatre company has been entertaining generations since its formation in 1910. Over the years, the club has grown from strength to strength with productions becoming ever more ambitious as the most recent Pantomime ‘Princes & The Pea’ can attest, attracting an audience of over 17,000.

At its last Annual General Meeting the following were elected to form the MADC management Committee: Alan Meadows as Chairperson,  Simon Demarco as Hon. Treasurer,  Marta Vella as Hon. Secretary,  Marco Calleja as Artistic Director, Kate de Cesare for Marketing & PR Officer, Rachel Galea as Premises Manager,  Anthea Xuereb for Social Events, members Louise Azzopardi and Nella Meadows (pictured above).

The next production at the Manoel Theatre is the classic black comedy, Arsenic & Old Lace in April, starring Marylou Coppini, Polly March and Edward Mercieca. This will be followed by an outdoor production of Shakespeare’s Othello in July. The productions for the 2012-13 season will be announced shortly.
