The Euro Media Forum is organising the screening of The Great Global Warming Swindle taking place on Monday 12 March at 7pm, at the Italian Cultural Institute,St. George’s Square,Valletta opposite The Palace (Malta’s Parliament house) and next door to the Attorney General’s Office.

Has everything we have ever been told about Global Warming a lie? From Age of Stupid to Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth to news reports and even public debates, they all seem to be screaming – that ‘Man Made Global Warming’ is the biggest threat ever to mankind and if we do not change our ways and reduce CO2 emissions – polar ice caps will melt, coastal areas will flood and hurricanes like Katrina will become common.

Can it be that its science fiction or is it a real scientific fact? The Great Global Warming Swindle postulates that we are being lied to by the powers that be that climate change can destroy the world. The Da Vinci Code seemed a walk in the park but this film blows the whistle on what may be the biggest conspiracy in modern history. The documentary claims that with nearly Gestapo like tactics people all over the world are told not to question. Is there absolutely no room for doubt because there is a “scientific consensus”? In this day and age is it realistically possible that whoever questions the current climate change data is an enemy of the state and humanity? The film The Great Global Warming Swindle suggests so.

Climate researcher James Ciarlo, economics analyst David Sammut and moderator Justin Camilleri will be exploring these topics and its relevance to Malta’s society and if there is room for scientific doubt. Also, is climate change fact or fiction? And if it’s real who is making money? What is the role of a tiny country like Malta? And are we really living in the great global warming swindle? Or is this documentary a Science Fiction movie with a bad and far-fetched ending?
