The exhibition – with national and international artists works – analyzes the value that new visual meanings of religion assumed in contemporary, from spirituality to mass consumption, from the quest for absolute and infinite to kitsch. Whether contemplative, minimal or screamed, the investigation on divine in contemporary art, becomes a mirror of a society in-between sacred and profane, tradition and irreverent derision. Afterlife mystical ascension meets thousands interferences, in those new gods humanity looks to as a reference; the exhibition The sacred unveiled reveals this contaminated imagination. Into the works, personal investigation looks deprived of any taboo, eventually turning subjects as taken to the extremes from work and reflection.
