Bacardi limited edition decanter auctioned in aid of L-Istrina

Bacardi is this year celebrating 150 years and to mark this milestone birthday in style, the Bacardi family has released limited edition vintage rum which is presented in an exclusively crafted crystal bottle honouring both past and present master craftsmen. Only 1000 finely crafted, hand-blown crystal decanters have been created. 600 from those produced were presented to Bacardi family members, leaving only 400 available for collectors and connoisseurs around the world.

The Ron Bacardi de Maestros de Ron, Vintage, MMXII is composed from a blend of the finest rums that have aged in oak barrels over the last 20 years, before being carefully transferred and finished in 60-year old Cognac barrels. This unique vintage blend is presented in a lovely, hand-blown crystal decanter with numerous distinctive features, and it is sheathed in a special leather case. Each of these has been numbered and includes individually hand-finished design features. The presentation case has been sculpted in soft kid skin leather with a built-in plinth to showcase the decanter. ” We chose El Coco, the original palm tree planted by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso’s son 150 years ago; the symbol of the Bacardi company’s heritage and Cuban roots.   A booklet detailing the story of the creation of the Ron Bacardi de Maestros de Ron, Vintage MMXII rum and the BACARDI family Master Blenders that joined together to create it, also forms part of the package.

Local distributors, P Cutajar & Co Ltd, donated this unique decanter of Ron Bacardi de Maestros de Ron, Vintage, MMXII, worth € 2000, to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
