Celebrating 12 years of shopping, dining and entertainment

Bay Street Complex in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s, will celebrate its 12th anniversary – B-day – on Sunday, 25 November, 2012.

The island’s most established and popular shopping, dining and entertainment complex will be celebrating in style, and is looking forward to welcoming the crowds with a star-studded line-up and a host of activities throughout the day from noon to 8 p.m.

The celebrations, which are all in aid of L-Istrina 2012, will be inaugurated by Mrs Margaret Abela, wife of the President of the Republic, with proceeds from the activities being donated to the charitable fund.

Bay Street will launch its new winter attraction, The Giant Snowplay Igloo on Level O, creating a unique winter play area with realistic snow, mood lighting and Christmas characters, a guarantee of festive fun for everyone young and old.

Throughout the afternoon there will be live performances from a range of artistes and musicians, including Freddie Portelli, the Red Electrik Trio, Klinsmann & Ben, Ben Purpple & Je Je, Lyndsay Pace, Malcolm Pisani, J Anvil, Dance Colege Studio, Tiziana Calleja, together with Centre Stage, a well as the popular dance parade, children’s mascot parade and free animation for children.

Both Freddie Portelli and Tenishia will be joining the Bay Street Walk of Fame, when they have their own handprint tile placed on Celebrity street.

“This is going to be an action-packed day of fun and entertainment for everyone,” a spokesman for Bay Street said. “We are proud to support the community through L-Istrina 2012.  In our 12^th year, we are now welcoming a second generation of shoppers and visitors to Bay Street, with the first generation now bringing their kids here.”
