The Concept Stadium cleans up Gnejna Beach for World Cleanup Day

The team participated in the world’s biggest waste collection movement to mark World Cleanup Day headed off to Gnejna Bay to participate in the world’s biggest action against waste for World Cleanup Day. With the team organising a number of events across different localities and beaches in Malta as part of the Algida Summer 2019 Campaign, the team noticed the amount of litter on the Maltese beaches; which served as an inspiration for this initiative.

World Cleanup Day is an annual international day dedicated towards combating the global solid waste problem through having a good time by clearing litter. The team spent several hours cleaning up waste found on the beach, gathering all forms of packaging, plastic and other litter.

“With our Summer filled with events across different beaches around Malta as part of our proposed activations for clients, we felt the need to give back to our community by cleaning up these same beaches that served as the perfect backdrop for our client events,” said Jonathan Dalli, Founder and CEO at the Concept Stadium. “A cleanup event is fulfilling in various ways, especially when organised as part of a greater cause. It is so sad to see that such areas are left in such a state due to lack of discipline and we are happy that we gave our part to clear up some trash in such an outstanding area of natural beauty. We surely hope that others will follow suit.”, added Jonathan Chetcuti, Founder and COO.

The cleanup initiative was held as part of the company’s CSR programme to become more environmentally-conscious and to promote a cleaner Malta.
