After two successful events held at Esplora ‘Science Meets Star Wars’ in 2017 and ‘Superheroes in Science’ last year by Euro Media Forum, Esplora has teamed up with the latter to bring to you ‘Superheroes & Star Wars in Science’ event at Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Kalkara from the 28th November to 1st December 2019.
As part of this growing project and to stimulate our children’s sense of curiosity and wonder, Euro Media Forum is inviting children and youths between 9 to 14 years of age with a keen interest in the world of Superheroes, Star Wars and Science, to submit projects as part of the ‘Superheroes in Science Project 2019’.
Parents and guardians are kindly requested to encourage their young ones to partipicate in this project which is an initiative to involve children and youths in the creation of science based projects on the real science behind Superheroes. Children and youths can connect their knowledge, skills and competences in science with the world of Superheroes, Supervillains and Star Wars. Children and youths are encouraged to discover, research and explain science through Superheroes & Star Wars with their futuristic gadgets, vehicles and fictional planets. The best projects will be exhibited at Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Kalkara during this year’s Superheroes & Star Wars in Science event. Submitted projects can be in the form of an experiment, a model or a visual presentation, accompanied by a brief write up or report. Children and youths can participate individually or as a team of a maximum of three. Each team will represent the school or an NGO (such as scouts, girl guides, clubs, etc.). Participation is free and on a voluntary basis.
Deadline for submission of projects from children and youths is on Friday 15th November 2019. The shortlisted projects will be exhibited during the ‘Superheroes & Star Wars in Science’ event that will be held at Esplora Interactive Science Centre from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December 2019.
