As final preparations are underway for the first edition of the TransLog Awards, Debono Commercials was today announced as a category sponsor of the TransLog Awards 2014, being held in Malta for the first time this October.

Aiming to create awareness and enhancement of the transport, logistics and supply chain industry in Malta, the TransLog Awards 2014 will be recognizing the efforts and investments in this industry done by the different stakeholders in Malta. On its part, Debono Commercials is Michael Debono Ltd’s commercial vehicle and industrial equipment centre and Malta’s only official representative for the commercial vehicle and industrial equipment division of the Toyota Group.

Director Michael Debono said: “Offering a comprehensive range of products and services including Toyota commercial vehicles, Toyota forklifts, BT warehouse equipment, Hino trucks, Goupil electric utility vehicles and Fiorentini industrial floor cleaning machines, we are committed to conducting business in a fair and honest manner and aim to be recognized as the most respected and trusted commercial vehicles and material handling equipment partner in Malta. In this regard, we wanted to be part of the first edition of the TransLog Awards as we share the same values, not least in delivering an excellence of service.”

Alex Borg, Director of SSM Group, the organizers of the awards: “The TransLog Awards will be acknowledging and highlighting a commitment to excellence for the benefit of Maltese companies operating in these sectors, and also for the benefit of Malta as a promising centre for a regional transportation, logistics and supply chain hub.”

Debono Commercials’ after-sales service includes a Mobile Service Station where the company van travels directly to one’s premises and services the client’s equipment on-site. At their fully equipped premises, one finds an extensive range of products and services to cater for any company’s warehouse equipment and fleet vehicle needs.

Supported by HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c., the TransLog Awards 2014 consist of 12 categories. The awards are being judged by a panel of distinguished transport and logistics practitioners, academics and business leaders. Winning one of the prestigious awards will generate awareness of that company’s endeavours and show team-members, work-colleagues and all stakeholders that the company is in-step with the very best practice in the Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain thinking and strategy.
