GasanMamo Insurance joined other worldwide business companies to support the importance of breast awareness, education and research. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this time the Insurance firm opted to collaborate with Toly products to support the victims of this disease.
GasanMamo purchased a make-up compact for each employee from Toly products following last year’s initiative, which resulted to be an instant success, that of launching a limited edition of blush compacts. These compacts were sold online, through selected outlets and beauty shops, and several companies bought and donated the limited-edition compacts to their employees.
“We are proud to join this good cause initiative and contributing to the fight against breast cancer. All proceedings from these compacts are being donated to local NGOs. At GasanMamo we strongly portray the message that this campaign isn’t just for women and men are invited to take up the breast cancer awareness cause. We have been continuously and annually supporting initiatives related to this campaign to upsurge awareness amongst locals and we will continue to endorse this campaign in the future,” said Julian Mamo, Managing Director.
This initiative forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility campaign themed “Spread the Love”, which was launched earlier this year with the sole scope to give something back to the community. Moreover, GasanMamo organised once more another dress down day for the employees and the funds collected by the staff were topped up by the management and donated to the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation. GasanMamo thoroughly supports the importance in the constant effort to communicate and increase awareness amongst Maltese men and women, while reducing the stigma of breast cancer through information and teaching campaigns on symptoms and available treatment.
