ALIVE cyclists send off their bicycles to Croatia for their 1100 km challenge

The cyclists participating in the RE/MAX – ALIVE2016 Cycling Challenge for Cancer have sent off their bicycles and equipment to Croatia on an Express Trailers shipping container. Between 7th July and 16th July 2016, the cyclists will cover 1100 km in seven days leaving from Croatia through Slovenia, northern Italy and will be finishing at the Vatican City.

Training solidly for the past 15 weeks, the cyclists are for the fourth year raising substantial funds for a specialised research programme in children’s cancer at the University of Malta to be facilitated through the University’s Research Trust (RIDT). With the support of RE/MAX and Friends Foundation, ALIVE will also be furnishing an indoor and outdoor play area at the Paediatric Unit within Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.

The RE/MAX – ALIVE2016 Cycling Challenge for Cancer is being sponsored by RE/MAX and Friends Foundation, Powered by Garmin, Wurth, Tum Invest, Pro Action and supported by Impressions Ltd, Express Trailers, SIS, Wheelwizard, Danusan, Air Malta and the Malta Police Force.

Donations to ALIVE 2016 can be made via SMS on 50618081 for a donation of €4.66; 50618913 for a donation of €6.99; and 50619208 for a donation of €11.65.
