The world’s most prestigious one-on-one street basketball tournament is once again coming to Malta for the second time. The official Maltese qualifiers of the Red Bull King of the Rock will be held between Wednesday 15th and Saturday 18th July at the Bognor Beach Aquatic Sports Club, Bugibba.

The last 8 players will battle it out in a knock-out format during the local final that will be held on Saturday 18th July at the same Bognor Club in Bugibba.

Last year, Spaniard Carles Teixido won the very first edition of the Red Bull King of the Rock in Malta, after a thrilling final with Maltese National Basketball player David Bugeja.

This year, the winner will fly to Istanbul in Turkey to represent Malta and will battle it out against other players from across the globe on August 29th. This year’s edition is being held in over than 20 countries from across different continents.

Deadline for registrations is Wednesday 8th July and registrations are limited to a maximum of 64 players. Participation is free and all participants will receive an official Red Bull King of the Rock kit and a 15% voucher from Nike Store when purchasing any Nike Basketball shoes.

The Red Bull King of the Rock is being organized with the collaboration of the Malta Basketball Association and supported by Malta Love and Basketball and Urban Jungle – House of Sport.
