Opel ADAM campaign boosted by Maltese and foreign fashion and art personalities

Opel has teamed up with some of the most influential fashion bloggers in Europe to celebrate the Opel ADAM, the model that has since its introduction become synonymous with style and personal creativity. These bloggers are championing an online campaign under the theme #ADAMyourself, encouraging their many followers to style their own dream ADAM.

Opel Malta has joined forces with top Italian fashion blogger Nicoletta Reggio from scentofobsession.com. Nicoletta’s creative styling and photography share the same frequency with the ADAM campaign, aimed at introducing the perfect car that gives free rein to one’s own creativity and personality. Her blog serves as an inspiration for people to come up with their own ADAM design. The Maltese campaign’s message of personal creativity has been further boosted by the participation of four personalities from the local fashion and art scenes, each of whom has styled their own Opel ADAM in a way that mirrors their work or personality and uploaded the picture on their respective Facebook pages and on the campaign website adamyourself.com/mt-en.

Carina Camilleri 1

Carina Camilleri, a self-taught stylist and owner of leading model and talent agency Models M, has been in the industry for the past 25 years. When styling for magazines, Carina likes mixing the unexpected with the basics. Hence, her choice of a matte finish for a contemporary feel to her classical black and white Fashion 4.

Ben Camille (in main photo) is potentially the most talked-about male actor/presenter at the moment. He is also a very humble person, full of positive energy and warmth – characteristics typically associated with the warm Maltese sun, which is where the inspiration for Ben Camille’s THE BEN CAMILLE came from.

Ludwig Saliba

Ludwig Saliba runs Kir Royal, the only image consultancy in Malta specialised in services for men who want to improve their image. To him, there are three essential elements for a man to look well-dressed: elegance, personality, and subtlety. That is what he had in mind when styling his ADAMisME: expressing individuality without going overboard.

Stephanie Borg at the drawing board

Stephanie Borg is known for her artwork depicting daily Maltese life and culture, including her range of cups, prints, and art cards featuring traditional Maltese tile patterns. Her yellow-based Sunny Steffi is inspired by the prominence of the colour on the Maltese islands, namely in the sun, stone, and the luzzu. It mirrors her love of bright, bold colours, which are very present in her art.

How to create and win your own Opel ADAM

Anyone can participate in the #ADAMyourself campaign where participants are encouraged to customise their favourite ADAM model with body colours, roof top colours, rims and backgrounds directly on the microsite until mid-February.

The ADAMs created are on the #ADAMyourself microsite www.adamyourself.com and can also be shared on Facebook or Twitter. Once shared, friends and relatives can vote for their favourite ADAM. The voting deadline is mid-March.

The top 10 most locally voted ADAMs would then be judged by the Opel Judging Panel – including Opel representatives and 10 European bloggers, including Nicoletta Reggio – who choose the country favourites, which will then each be produced from autumn 2016 as the limited special model series “ADAM YOURSELF”.

A new ADAM goes to that creative person who manages to wow the Opel international judging panel with a personalised design of the already funky car and the very special part is that the winners will be the “advertising face” for their ADAM in their country.

The winner will be announced between March and May.
