Venture capital firms and high-profile tech companies including Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook will be given the inside track on local technology start-up HandsOn Systems during Web Summit, in Dublin, Ireland, from 3-5 November, 2015.
HandsOn Systems is one of 25 technology start-ups from around the world that has been given the opportunity to put up a stand at Web Summit, termed “the best technology conference on the planet” that is anticipated to attract over 30,000 attendees from 110 countries.

Geoffrey Farrugia, HandsOn Systems CEO, who is given prominence in the conference website  https://www.websummit.net as a “featured attendee”, commented: “Although technically still a start-up, we have now been in operation for five years and have built up a suite of proven technology and services with a focus on vehicle tracking and fleet management.

The focus of HandsOn Systems is on telematics, GPS tracking and fleet management. It is also diversifying into other closely related sectors, including ticketing, UBI (usage-based insurance) and task management software for logistics and transport companies, apart from having an interest in asset tracking and tagging (RFID).

According to Mr Farrugia, since being featured on the conference website, HandsOn Systems has already attracted attention from other start-ups, potential investors and international media agencies.
With Malta being considered a good testing ground for technology, HandsOn Systems have the track record to show that its technology works and can compete with the best in its field. The company is also gearing up for the Internet of Things revolution, with the move away from stand-alone devices to everything being connected to the Internet envisaged to grow exponentially in the very near future.
