CINEMA UNDER THE STARS
Join Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar on the lawn in the enchanting gardens of Villa Bologna. Enjoy scenes of Malta almost 20 years ago in this film described as “the kind of adventure picture the studios churned out in the Golden Age of cinema” .
An adventurous romp filmed in Malta based on the classic by Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo is a film that incorporates love, betrayal, piracy, Napoleon in exile, imprisonment, secret tunnels, swashbuckling action, comic relief, a treasure map, Parisian high society and sweet revenge, much of it filmed in Malta, with performances by excellent actors who are clearly having fun.
The Food Stall will provide snacks including pop-corn, hotdogs and pizza (including vegetarian). A Bar will be available selling wines, spirits, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
Seating will be provided but feel free to bring your own blanket or beach chair to relax on the lawn! Arrive before 8pm to enjoy a stroll around the gardens and be sure of a seat (priority given to seniors). The movie starts at 9pm.
In case of bad weather the event will be held under the marquee.
