Pembroke Library encourages love of Maltese literature

After much preparation and anticipation, the Pembroke Library is back with its fourth activity. On 12th May 2016, participants will be able to experience the beauty of Maltese literature.

Children

This year, the reading session for children will be held between 18:00 and 19:00. By popular request, Clare Azzopardi will be the guest author for the session. She will be reading from her recent publication, Mingu. The ideal age group for this activity is from 6 to 10.

Adults

At 19:30, adults will experience a lovely May evening outdoors, where they will get the opportunity to meet guest author Walid Nabhan, whose literary career soared during the past decade. Poet Norbert Bugeja, who needs barely any introduction due to his exceptional contributions, will also be reading during the session. Readings during the activity will also include excerpts from works by Lara Calleja, author of Lucy Min?

The reading session for adults will also be accompanied by music from flautist, Ian Caruana, and guitarist, William Bellia.

Pleasant music, outstanding authors, and why not … maybe a glass of wine? We invite you to join us for this simple, yet magical evening!
