Number of caps swells to millions in ongoing GreenPak’s recycling campaign

A record 130 schools from across Malta and Gozo are actively participating in the 5th edition of GreenPak’s ‘Nirriċikla għall-Istrina’ campaign. The campaign aims at collecting funds for the upcoming l-Istrina 2015 through gathering and recycling of plastic bottle caps.

Ing. Mario Schembri, GreenPak Coop Society CEO, said: “GreenPak’s ‘Nirriċkla għall-Istrina’ 2015 campaign is launched months in advance to allow participants time to collect plastic caps and increase the donation given by GreenPak to the Malta Community Chest Fund. In fact, over 4 million plastic caps have already been collected so far this year.”

“GreenPak’s collection and recycling of plastic caps now goes beyond schools’ charity calendar, as various business entities and other organisations are actively participating in this noble cause. The greater the number of plastic caps are collected, the bigger GreenPak’s donation will be. For this reason, we invite other organisations to follow suit.”

GreenPak is actively working in collaboration with the Malta Community Chest Fund and the Directorate for Educational Services to assist in reaching an even wider audience.
Interested schools, companies, organisations and local councils can contact GreenPak Coop Society by phone on tel: 2166 1081, by email info@greenpak.com.mt, or by sending a message on facebook (GreenPak COOP).
