New Bay Street website goes live

The website for Bay Street Tourist Complex in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s, has undergone a total revamp to better reflect the latest Internet technologies available.
The website’s graphics, Navigation and the ergonomics have been redesigned to offer more user-friendly facilities to the online visitor. A spokesman for the designers of the website, Logix Creative Ltd, said: “The trick with the Internet 2.0 evolution is to give users an experience very similar to a social network.
“With over half the population accessing the internet on a tablet or mobile phone, websites also have to be intuitive with screens ‘reacting’ to the size.”
With the new Bay Street design, imagery speaks louder than words. Apart from the tree structure with six tabs in the main menu, there are also four large icons that lead to other places in the website apart from the main menu categories. Being a responsive site, everything is designed for easy and quick access to information. The website can be used on any devices without compromise: smartphones, tablets and laptops or desktop PCs.
The main information is accessed through six tabs at the top, with a strong emphasis always on the visual element. The aim is that navigation is fast and easy. Among the major innovations is the ability to book your party through a form on the website and the video area, with Vlogs listed under this tab.
For more information you can go to the tab Contact us, where you will find a map with instructions on how to get to Bay Street, the phone numbers and the e-mail address, but also how to go there by bus or car. The main social networks are integrated into the website: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, which redirect you to Bay Street’s respective pages.
“We are pleased to present our customers with our new website and to offer them a totally new user experience. The new platform is easier to use, bright, with a modern and refreshing design. The aim was to reduce the amount of verbal information and, where possible, make access to the home page simpler to users,” Philip Galea Marketing Executive of Bay Street Holdings said.
